We got to our appointment at Palatki Ruins and it was wonderful. The cliff dwelling of ancients. Trying to imagine living there – hiking the water up each day – hiking down to tend the fields – just living as a family and clan for a lifetime gives me pause. Then the rock paintings and the cave that Charles Willard lived in for 2 years while he built his house and developed his orchards. We had a fine lunch, bought at Giant, and consumed outdoors beside the Chamber of Commerce. then on to the Rock Chapel – wondrous combination of nature and architecture. Wayne lit a candle (it’s a Catholic Church). Final stop was Bell Rock – still no vortex for me, but I met very nice folks in my search. I am fulfilled and content.
