What a surprise kind of day! With intention to stop overnight at the halfway point, instead we got to Denver. First stop was the Rio Grand Gorge Bridge outside of Taos. One last taste of wilderness and nature…and the vastness of it all. A relaxing lunch overlooking the gorge from our travel supplies (remind Wayne to make a list of travel foods – he nailed it) Then off I drove again to our turnoff for I25. It was easy and effortless and yet totalled a lot of hours. When we switched drivers, then saw Denver was only 124 miles away, we knew we would be home tonight! Going 80mph average helped a lot. All settled with cocktails on the balcony in time to see our Denver sunset.
